Los Angeles Bioscience Hub

In 2015, LA Bioscience Hub (LABH) made great strides in its early stages as an organization. In February, we collaborated with the Urban Land Institute to host a panel presenting the LA Bioscience Corridor as a cross-sector initiative to approximately 70 real estate and industry professionals. In October, we spoke on Southern California Development Forums panel, further increasing the Corridors exposure to in LAs real estate field. LABH also hosted its second Real Estate Tour. In November, LABH participated in the annual SoCalBio Investor Conference and connected with more than 45 industry start-ups and leaders. In December, we hosted a wildly successful mixer in partnership with Biotech Connection LA that brought together postdoc, PhDs, entrepreneurs and established leaders. Later that month, LABH secured a $100,000 grant through the Goldhirsh Foundations LA 2050 Initiative. The grant is to develop and execute the Biotech Leaders Academy in 2016.
