Produce the Annual LAPD Reserve Officer Awards dinner recognizing outstanding Reserve Officers for their work as determined by Commanding Officers in their respective Divisions and areas of assignment. Present service pins to Reserve Officers who have achieved 25 30 35 40 etc of years on the job.
Fund recruitment advertising cost to recruit new Reserve Officers.
Provide for the cost of equipment and training not provided by the LAPD to existing Reserve Officers; assist new Reserve Recruits with the cost of equipment required for entering the Academy if they deem it a financial hardship; subsidize the cost of a Legal Plan should the need for legal services arise during the performance of their duties; provide financial aid to Reserve Officers experiencing financial hardships.
