Program areas at Louis Armstrong House Museum
The new Louis Armstrong center, a 14,000-square foot state-of-the-art building, opened in july of 2023. The center houses a 75-seat performance space, a multimedia exhibition, and the extensive Armstrong archives. Lahm is now a multi-building campus, celebrated in 2023 by the new york times as one of the 8 places across the u.s. that illuminate black history.in 2023 our programs were inspired by the Armstrong values of: preserving and sharing the legacy, artistic excellence, education, and community.
