Program areas at LBA
Member services- the voluntary members of the Louisville Bar Association are over 2,300 strong and the Association is among the 40 largest local bars in the country. 49% of jefferson county, Kentucky, attorneys are members as well as 20% of Kentucky attorneys. The Association provides opportunities for members to join any of the 20 sections, which offer professional development and interaction with colleagues who practice in the same field.
Continuing legal education (cle)- the Association is a leading cle provider presenting approximately 70 seminars annually. The leadership of the Association's 20 sections works closely with the cle department to identify both topics and speakers for many of the programs hosted each year.
Publications- the Association's publications include Bar briefs, a monthly newsletter which provides news and information to members about the legal profession, upcoming cle programs, benefits, section meetings and other law-related activities. Also published is the annual pictorial roster, a photo directory of members which is an invaluable guide for local attorneys and their staff.
