Program areas at Love Akron
Akron connect is a coalition of christian leaders in the marketplace who gather once a month to pray and initiate ways to unite their individual gifts and collective resources to serve the greater Akron, Ohio area. In 2023, Akron connect had an estimated 35 people per month come together to pray, network and collaborate. In addition, we host an annual awards breakfast to recognize and honor local community leaders
One life at a time: an extension ministry offering young men a mentoring program as an alternative to conventional sentencing. One life connects members from local churches to these young men who often do not have a father figure or spiritual leader. Love Akron commits 10% of the awards breakfast income to support this program.
