Program areas at Loving Education at Home
Vital communications with the membership are achieved through the LEAH Messenger. The Messenger communicates the times and locations of regional events, assists by providing home-schooling resources and updates and is informative on other home-schooling issues.
Students with special needs are assisted with educational materials and accommodated with necessary equipment and programs. Parents of special needs children are informed of academic resources and supplies to incorporate in their home schools.
Commencement exercises were held for approximately 80 high school home-schooled graduates providing recognition of scholastic and other achievements.
Regional development conferences and meetings: Successfully promoted awareness of educational materials, resources, services and tools to dozens of participants at these various one day conferences. Keynote speakers and professional educators delivered messages and held question and answer sessions to attendees in participative seminars or casual informal gatherings were held. Leadership training event includes the participation of most chapter leaders and offers instruction and nurturing of appreciation of academics in the home schools.
The leadership training events provide chapter leaders, regional representatives, individuals in key service positions and Board members with opportunity to advance in servanthood and leadership skills.
