In 2023, Loving Our Community's Children, Ascension Affiliate provided clothing, toys, and other essential items (hygiene items, beds, cribs, strollers, etc.) to over 450 families representing over 1100 children. These children were from low income homes in Ascension Parish and surrounding parishes with many referred by mandatory reporters. All donations were received as donations and provided at no cost to the child's family. Although most work for the organization is accomplished by a team of volunteers, one part-time employee performs administrative tasks and assists with facility operations. The organization operates from a portion of a building hosted by Fellowship Church in Ascension Parish at no cost to the organization.
