Juniper Refuge assists vulnerable refugees in Lincoln, Nebraska through a volunteer training program where staff trains new and current volunteers in cultural competency, practical assistance guidelines, and holistic care of refugees. Additionally, they offer a mentorship program where staff and volunteers assess and mentor refugees for 12 months in the development of skills needed for life in America. A total of 84 persons were trained through the volunteer training program while 87 persons were mentored through the mentorship program.
