The program serves as a tool for Americans to manage their careers effectively.

Program areas at Lower Rio Grande Valley Workforce Development Board

Provides for implementation and development of a comprehensive workforce investment system program in the Lower Rio Grande Valley counties of Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy. The program helps Americans access the tools they need to manage their careers through information and high quality services and to help U.S. companies find skilled workers. Customers served in Hidalgo, Willacy and Starr counties equaled 39,818; employers served equaled 2,241. In addition, we assisted the Texas Attorney General in recovering $133,978,519 in back-owed child support payments since 2005 with $837,330 collected in the last Non-Custodial Parent Program performance period. LRGVWDB served more than 14,227 children daily with child care, served 3,189 migrant and seasonal farm workers, and served 919 veterans.
