Loxahatchee River Historical Society serves as the operations manager of the 1860 Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, which was established in 1972. Program areas at Loxahatchee River Historical Society

Historical museums- the permanent exhibit in a restored wwii museum building depicts 5,000 years of regional history to over 85,000 annual visitors. Rare artifacts from the Society's collections and loans from other institutes highlight a diverse heritage. Exterior exhibits include the 1892 tindall pioneer homestead, lighthouse keeper's workship exhibit, an authentic seminole chickee, oil house gallery, native habitats and interpretive kiosks. Educational programs offered include guided public tours, multi-lingual smartphone tour apps; teacher resources and online approved onsite school field trips; family days; public history lectures; guided hikes through history; literacy programs for young children; special events and presentations. Research archives also serve the community.
Lighthouse/historical site - established in 1972. The Society serves as the operations manager of the 1860 jupiter inlet lighthouse and is responsible for the protection, restoration, maintenance, insurance, public safety, and daily guided tours of the iconic lighthouse and public grounds. Open 6-7 days per week depending on season. 80 trained volunteer docents who provide tours and services. The lighthouse tower and roof were recently repaired and completely repainted by the Society and the first order frensel lens was conserved. The 1920 keeper's workshop has been restored and is used as a new interactive exhibit space; an interactive deck area, brick plaza, and pathways with native landscaping was created for public use. The Society is a managing partner in the 120-acre jupiter inlet lighthouse outstanding natural area.
