The officers of Luila Village Ministries and volunteers minister in the area of Luila Village, congo drc to share the word of god and salvation with the villagers and many people in the surrounding areas. Life in Luila villages is very tough, with families struggling to have enough to eat from day to day. The difficult physical conditions opens the hearts of the people to hear about jesus. Highlights and accomplishments for 2023: school fees paid in full for 61 high school students. This sponsorship increased from 2022. You are making a difference this program is working, as there are more girls being educated, and we say, "please do not give up on these students, who are yours." Education is the key and you are impacting them. Clean and safe drinking water is given to more than 140,000 people. Two solar-powered water drills are giving clean and safe drining water to the citizens of boma in kongo central. We tested the quality of water, installed committees for management, and the water is certified "safe to drink." This realization has been the most significant achievement of my dreams as a human being. We are building a primary school in the Village of tuidi madiata. We rented a tractor to clear the site and paid women from the Village to collect the materials for the construction. It is almost done. There is no church in tuidi Village. We have received funds to build a church for about 420 people. The goal is to use this building to train pastors and leaders in the region. Pastors and church leaders have no formal training. Last year, 2022, we started a new agricultural project where women plant coffee and coco beans. We have strengthened this project by investing more money in the project, encouraging hard workers by giving them some incentive, and adding fishponds in the same area to the entire project. For the year 2023, we distributed more then 3,200 bibles in local languages.
