Lumin Education

Lumin Education was founded in 1978 and serves more than 500 children and their parents in these programs: 1) pregnancy to age 3 (p-3) home visiting parent Education program, 2) daily montessori classes for children ages 1 to 5 (b4six classroom program), and 3) daily montessori classes for children ages 6 to 9 (elementary classroom program). In spite of growing up in neighborhoods that struggle with poverty, illiteracy, and high dropout rates, 96% of Lumin's third grade alumni have successfully completed high school or earned a g.e.d. And 89% attend college.
