Lycoming Animal Protection Society, Inc. (LAPS) is a nonprofit organization that operates as a no-kill cat shelter with entirely volunteer staff. Program areas at LAPS

During 2022 105 cats were placed in adoptive homes. 54 cat and kittens were new adoptions the remainder were fostered cats that remained in the foster homes. There was cooperative effort with other local shelter to showcase cats in a space at a local petco. Volunteers care for and clean the space for any of the showcased cats. A newly renovated shelter facility was opened in january 2022.
Disseminate information to the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control population and about the health and safety of pets.
Adoption program for sheltered animals and liaison for animals not housed in our shelter. 85 cats were placed in new homes in 2020.
