Program areas at Lydia's House

Homeless women and children will be invited to stay at Lydias House for one night to six months in the short-term housing and up to three years in permanent housing. While they gain job skills, secure long-term housing, and conserve their financial resources, they will be nurtured in a home where they are welcomed as honored guests. Residents will strengthen one another through the sharing of meals and in-house educational opportunities. Residents will also be offered support once they transition into permanent housing, including housing owned by Lydias House at 4502 Carter Ave and 1801 Mills. Residents can continue to build on accomplishments from Lydias House while living on their own.
