The mission of the Lyndale Neighborhood Association (LNA) is to be the vehicle for our community members to shape their neighborhood. Our vision is to engage our diverse community members to build a safe, vibrant, and sustainable neighborhood. With more than 7,200 people, Lyndale is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Minnesota. Located in the heart of South Minneapolis, our neighborhood is comprised of people from all walks of life, all incomes, and all places of origin. In 2023, our work contributed to our neighborhood by: Providing over 11,800 hours of free English language and adult basic education instruction to over 200 Minnesotans at 2 community locations. Bringing together neighbors by hosting monthly community meetings regarding development projects, policing practices, and road construction projects. Co-wrote 2 editions of the South Nicollet News, a bi-lingual publication between three South Minneapolis neighborhoods. Helped see 72 pollinator gardens be planted. Participated in 9 engagement events about the New Nicollet Redevelopment project reaching approximately 836 individuals. See Part III, Ln 4a statement
