Program areas at Lyngblomsten Services
Lyngblomsten community Services provides resources and opportunities for older adults to enhance their quality of life and help them remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. With the opening of Lyngblomsten at lino lakes, some programming was expanded to residents of this new campus and to those living in their own homes in the lino lakes area. A total of 581 persons were served in 2023 through Lyngblomsten community Services. Two hundred of them received caregiver/memory loss support, including through: memory loss caregiver support groups; educational programming; referral to resources; and the gathering, a group respite program for persons living with memory loss. While most programming in 2023 was offered in-person, a few programs continued to be offered virtually. Staff focused on educating the wider community with several presentations on topics related to memory loss and older adults, including the healthy brain and 10 signs of dementia. Other offerings included evidence-based wellness classes, such as living well with chronic conditions and a matter of balance, in partnership with the faith community nurse network of the greater twin cities.
Lyngblomsten home health Services provided in-home health and assisted living Services to 177 persons living in Lyngblomsten housing on both campuses in 2023.
