Description
Maasai Development Project empowers and strengthens the Maasai people now and for eternity. It gives the gift of hope and education to Maasai children through a range of educational, religious and rescue activities primarily in Kenya. The education centre rescues girls aged 6-13 from forced early marriages and/or female genital mutilation providing them with a safe home and education. The project also maintains and enhances programs for developing communities.

Program areas at Maasai Development Project

Maasai Development Project engages in a range of educational, religious and rescue activities in kenya. Those activities include the educaion and rescue of young girls from forced marriages and other abuse. Maintaining and enhancing programs for developing and supporting lay pastors, literacy, teachers and priograms for widows and maintaining, improving and expanding building facilities to further those activities.
Building projects at the center; construction of guest house, underground water system and sidewalks
Maasai Development Project education centre: a home for girls that have been rescued from forced early marriages and/or female genital mutilation. (rescue ages are from 6-13) these girls are not only provided a safe home in which to live, but an education through university level. Mdp works with the children's service department in kenya and the local chief to ensure the safety of the child. The community food outreach progrm fed over 2,000 members of the community during the covid-19 lockdown.
