Description
The MBCCVB is the non-profit destination marketing organization for Macon and Bibb County. The CVB was created in 1980 exclusively to market Macon and Bibb County regionally, domestically, and internationally, to convention groups, sports events, tour groups and leisure visitors in order to enhance the local economy and increase employment. The CVB is primarily funded by hotel-motel sales tax collected from visitors staying in local properties. The mission of the MBCCVB is to unify and lead our community in marketing the Macon Bibb County area as a superior visitor and meeting destination.

Program areas at MBCCVB

Primary purpose is to promote tourism in the middle Georgia area. This is achieved through the publication of a newsletter, the promotion of local events, and group tours of the area's attractions. The organization also organizes conventions to be held in middle Georgia. All the citizens and businesses in the middle ga area, as well as area tourists, benefit from the above activities.
