Program areas at Madison County House of Hope
Tax year 2022 was a busy year as we continued our building program, served our community and served those who were committed to our Christ focused program to deal with alcoholism and drug addiction. The building program continued as materials were more available but remain hard to find. During the year the entire building framing was complete to include door frames and plumbing rough-end.Our community activities continued as usual. We were active in our mowing ministry, cemetery maintenance ministry and doing odd jobs for churches in our area. We worked with the Volunteer Fire Department's Haunted Farm to help raise money for the department. We worked events for the community like Texas Fish Fry and the Madisonville Mushroom Festival. Our service to widows, the elderly and handicapped continued this year. We provided families in need with boxes full of food and bottled water and provided the homeless with food and shelter as well. Our ministry to the prison in Madison and surrounding Counties continued in 2022.Our main focus was our population. At our highwater mark, we had 122 residents at the House of Hope. Out of those in the program, 22 graduated and we had approximately 45 individuals accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Finally, as material becomes more available and prices begin to moderate we are able to get more done on our new building. Communities continued to have needs, we will be there to serve and become better human beings. We improved and advanced our building program, helped our community and continued to teach and practice our Christ centered process of dealing with alcoholism and drug-addiction.
