Work on a daily basis as an advocate of downtown restoration and development, serve as a clearing house and collective voice for issues important to the economic growth of downtown, such as parking problems, retail mix, facade renovations, building vacancies, recruiting new business and restructuring existing businesses. Assist property owners in design for facade improvements. Coordinate advertising and publicity regarding downtown events and special promotions. All taxpayers of the city of Columbus benefit as the community has already made a huge investment of public funds in downtown streets, sidewalks, water and sewer lines, parking lots, Street lights and other infrastructure - downtown revitalization and the reuse of these buildings uses these assets which have already been paid for.
