Program areas at Malta House
Residential program: in fiscal year 2023-2024, Malta House served 29 women and 27babies with housing, childcare, clothing, food, and baby supplies. In addition, we provided support for social services, support for employment and educational placement, and healthcare advocacy. Each resident participated in our integrative formational program that provides in-house educational opportunities in: personal and life skills; worksplace preparation; parenting and child development; and health and wellness. We also offer in-house individual mentoring, pastoral care, and counseling services. Financial scholarships for completion of a trade or community college certificate programs were available. Upon graduation, residents are more competent to live independently as new parents.
Community outreach: in fiscal year 2023-2024, Malta House served 207 needy families from the surrounding community from our baby pantry that is stocked with donation items. Families were offered excess baby food, diapers and supplies.
Graduate program: in fiscal year 2023-2024, Malta House provided 29 former residents with ongoing support for social services, and health health and legal advocacy, in addition to financial assistance for housing, childcare , and educational opportunities. All former residents are welcome to participate in all classes provided in House to our residents in addition to counseling and pastorlal care services. Our clients continued to grow in confidence, competency, and self-reliance.
