Mancos Valley Resources aims to preserve and enhance the assets of the Mancos Valley, which include cultural, historical, recreational, educational and charitable aspects. The organization runs Mancos Food Share, which distributes monthly commodities from USDA to eligible people in the community and helped over 6,000 individuals in 2022 with pantry services. Additionally, Four Corners Food Coalition manages a large food pantry serving approximately 5,000 people. Five volunteers provided an estimated 100 hours of service in 2022.

Program areas at Mancos Valley Resources

Mancos United provided an all day, summer day camp, Monday through Thursday for six week during 2023. They also provided basic needs assistance to families in need. Such assistance included new bike chain, quarters for laundry, car repairs, electrical bill and rent assistance. The also launched an effort to conduct a feasibility study for a new 'Greater Mancos Area Community Hub. 20 volunteers donated about 204 hours to help about 288 local residence in 2023.
Montezuma Youth Alliance involved at risk youth in the following activities: Take 6 high school and middle school students to the Purgatory SOS program; provide a safe place for youth to be in the evenings (Teen Night); Take two youth ambassadors to a Tony Grampsas conference; provide Reading Buddies in collaboration with MPL and offer a Reading Buddies extension to include youth from 9 to 17 years old;execute a strategic planning meeting with SC; and provided a successful Skate Night series from May to November. In 2023, these efforts were able to reach about 60 youth with the help of 7 volunteers providing 150 volunteer hours.
Four Corners Food Coalition managed a large food pantry providing food to about 6,000 individuals during the year. 24 volunteers provided an estimated 608 hours of service in 2023.
