CENTER TEACHES PHYSICALLY AND/OR MENTALLY HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS IN THE BAKERSFIELD AREA HOW TO RIDE HORSES FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY AND RECREATIONAL ENJOYMENT. The center treats over 25 different diagnosed disabilities with the use of 11 therapy horses, 4 path certified riding instructors. For the year ended June 30, 2022 over 710 hours of instruction were provided. M.A.R.E also provided scholarships to over 51% of riders.
