Program areas at Marine Mammals of Maine
The organization (mmome) offers a single program of animal rescue and welfare. Mmome responds to live and deceased Marine Mammals (seals, dolphins, whales) and sea turtles from kittery to rockland Maine, which covers 2500 miles of coastline. We operate a 24/7 Marine mammal and sea turtle reporting hot line for the public to report a stranded seal, dolphin, whale or sea turtle. Mmome operates a triage and rehabilitation center for seals in need of additional care and treatments. Mmome reaches approximately 24,000 people who are followers on facebook, approximately 10,000 peoples who are folowers on instagram, and we reach approximately 3,173 individuals from our mailing list.
