Program areas at Marion County Historical Society
We have restored an old one-room schoolhouse and open it in the summer to the public as an interesting site to recall the history of education in the United States rural areas.
Along with preserving the history of our community, we strive to create interest where it does not now exist. We provide interesting exhibits that change every year to encourage the public to visit our museum and discover and enjoy our communitys industrial, commercial, and railroad history.
Part of our mission is to maintain the existing history of Marion County, Ohio and our archive program seeks to accomplish this mission. Large areas are available for storage and accessioning.
