Program areas at Marmot Library Network
Marmot has been working on their open-source pika discovery layer since 2009. Pika was created to address the needs of patrons by solving several common usability issues: all formats of a work are grouped together, patrons can serendipitously discover titles to read next, and all functionality works on any size device with responsive design. Pika is available to all Marmot members as well as discovery partners that work with Marmot.
Cybersecurity is an important goal of any organization. Marmot keeps workstations and tablets safe from malware, always up-to-date on windows, office, etc. With the right balance of on-site and remote support.
Marmot uses innovative interfaces integrated Library system, sierra. Marmot hosts sierra application and database servers. These serve member institutions across Colorado including public libraries, schools, and academic institutions. Members get the resource sharing benefits of a shared bibliographic database with the security of a partitioned patron file.
Provide digital archive, folio, hosting, Network management, shared- collections, and vufind services to member libraries.
