Program areas at Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation
Support to Mary Greeley Medical Center (Medical Center): private gift support through the Foundation plays an important role in the mission of the Medical Center through funding of vital projects, programs and services. In 2022 major programs funded include mental health services, hospice, the william r bliss cancer Center, and the diabetes and nutrition education Center. Major projects include support for the construction of the birthways and pediatrics units and the behavioral health unit. Educational programs include staff and physician training, specialty certifications and public educational programs.
Scholarship support:in 2022, 16 Mary Greeley Medical Center (Medical Center) employees and area students were awarded $18,125 in scholarship support. Scholarships ranged from $1,000 - $2,500 for students pursuing nursing degrees, advanced degrees and other medical-related degrees. These scholarships suppport the education of current and future health care professionals, while also honoring individuals for significant contributions to health care and the Medical Center. These scholarships are typically funded through unaffiliated funds that are not reported as part of the Foundation's audited financials. However, the Foundation paid $251 directly to the educational institutions on behalf of recipients in fy23.
Employee support:the Foundation provided support to 9 Mary Greeley Medical Center employees in 2022 in times of emergency. Employees were assisted with expenses such as utility bills, Medical bills, car payments, car repairs, Medical devices, mortgage and rent payments.
