Program areas at Maryland Alliance of Public Charter Schools
MAPCS is a clearinghouse of public charter school information and resources, supports the development of new public charter schools, is the public voice for the Maryland public charter school community, and supports public charter schools in developing governance capacity, including through a governance forum.
MAPCS provides support services to organizations forming public charter schools in Maryland in cooperation with the Maryland State Department of Education and to existing schools working toward renewal/reauthorization.
MAPCS manages the Maryland State Dept of Education Charter School Program Technical Assistance Program. The program is state wide and offers workshops, webinars and consulting services for existing public charter schools as well as groups interested in starting a public charter school.
