Program areas at Masjidullahs New Medina Learning Institute

New Medina operates a Day School, Before and After School Programs and a Summer Program. Our organization has serviced over 100 students between all of its programs throughout the year. In our Day School, we provide our students with the tools that empower them to continue taking ownership of their education. Our blended learning classroom model allows them to further become independent learners, while also giving them a 21st century educational experience. At New Medina, we base this experience on knowledge and technology. Our summer camp program offers indoor and outdoor activities, with an emphasis on fun and exploration. Through active instruction in our school setting we encourage development and the ability to make choices, work with others, and assume responsibilities. Excursions are developmentally appropriate, safe, have educational value, and most of all fun.
On the last Saturday of February every year, we celebrate our rich history and culture by honoring the legacy of our ancestors. Our students are immersed in their history, learning about different individuals who have made it possible for them to shine today. Our Annual showcase has become a community staple over the years!
Our Global Citizenship Program instills a foundation of global competence in New Medina's Middle and High School students. Through interdisciplinary academic study, community service, civic engagement and travel, participants increase their global awareness, heighten their appreciation of diversity, and enlarge their capacity to work and contribute in an increasingly interconnected world. Students participating in New Medina's Global Citizenship Program have: Attained knowledge of - and show an appreciation for - cultural differences Examined contemporary issues from multiple perspectives Engaged in community service with humility Shared their experience and enthusiasm with the broader community Actively promoted global understanding and the peaceful resolution of conflicts Achieved personal growth through reflection Strove to realize their full potential as leaders
