Massachusetts Association of Physician Associates (MAPA)

Fall cme event. Mapa in conjunction with our event manager, chamberlain medical resources, hosted a 2 day continuing medical education event in boston, ma on october 29-30, 2016. Mapa provided its members with the opportunity to obtain over 14 hours of category 1 cme credit. Physician assistants are required to obtain 50 hours of category 1 cme hours every two years to maintain their certification. Mapa also hosted a reception for its members to allow for networking opportunity and updates on professional issues. Mapa also hosted a student track to allow for current Physician assistant students to to participate in educational opportunities and to network with students from other programs.

Spring cme event. Mapa hosted a 1 day continuing medical education event on saturday, march 12, 2016. The event provided our members with the opportunity to gain 6.25 hours of category 1 cme credit. The program focus is on pharmacology. The commonwealth of Massachusetts requires Physician assistants to have 4 hours of cme annually dedicated to pharmacology. Mapa also hosted its annual membership meeting during this event.
