Massachusetts Oyster Project

Massachusetts Oyster Project is an all-volunteer non-profit that works to restore native shellfish populations to our beaches and coastal estuaries in Boston, MA. They cultivate oysters, recycle shells, educate people about water resources in Massachusetts, and advocate for protecting the coastal environment. They speak to school groups, scout troops, and other environmental organizations and have developed fact-based curriculums for educators. They also work with local organizations to restore native shellfish populations through oyster upwellers located across Massachusetts.
