Program areas at Matan Bseter

Matan BSeter collects funds from the local Jewish community members and distributes them to the needy members of the community, providing emergency financial assistance, helping families with the basics required to celebrate weddings and other joyous occasions, and with financial assistance to properly celebrate Jewish Holidays. Matan BSeter does all of this while maintaining the anonymity of both its donors and aid-recipients. Self respect is thus maintained by the recipients and donors not knowing the identity of the other. Matan BSeter refers to the highest form of outright charitable giving in the Jewish tradition as codified by Maimonides (literally giving in secret).
