Match / Manufacturing and Technical Community Hub

MATCH took over a former manufacturing facility in August 2023 and spent the first three months making the space useable: purchasing and installing initial equipment fixing the fire safety system removing debris painting setting up a computer network etc. By November MATCH had its program set up and welcomed its first cohort of 10 individuals. These individuals faced the range of obstacles MATCH had expected including insecure housing or homelessness former incarceration and limited educational attainment. Working with our network of community organizations we provided intake services training wrap-around services and employment placement services to this first cohort. While serving this initial cohort MATCH created a robust pipeline of future trainees from throughout the greater New Haven area refined its intake and training services and increased its outreach to potential employers.
