Groundbreak coalition: Mcknight serves as lead convenor of The groundbreak coalition, a group of over 40 corporate, civic, and philanthropic leaders committed to demonstrating that with enough resources, a racially equitable and carbon-neutral future is possible now. In 2023, groundbreak secured nearly $1 billion in commitments to fund financial tools and products designed to close racial wealth disparities in minneapolis- st. paul. In future years, The coalition will focus on continuing to raise resources and to set up fully independent operations.
2023 west africa community of practice annual convening: The sixteenth annual community of practice for collaboration across farmers, researchers, and key folks to collaborate and share findings. The objective of The cop is to refresh relationships within The waf community of practice, strengthen our community, foster resilience in challenging times, share project results, impacts and learnings, embrace "agroecological transitions" in The waf context , foster strategic alignment within The cop - from The regional vision to individual research questions / experiments to farmers' needs; identify strategic support needs (rms, aes, soils), foster synergies and collaborations on The ground (joint experimentation) to make research more effective and strengthen student's presentation skills. The cop workshop was held in niamey, niger from february 26th-march 04, 2023.
2023 andes community of practice annual convening: The nineteenth annual andes community of practice was developed as a face-to-face meeting with 63 representatives from crfs projects, as well as guests from different countries. The objective is to share results of current projects' research over The past year analyzing their learnings and moving towards a joint synthesis. It is to reflect on how to promote changes inspired by agroecology and how to connect with local and global processes. In addition, they promote and deepen connections between cop participants, farmers, social organizations, representatives of public bodies, ngos, regional networks, and platforms. Lastly to project The future actions of cop events. The cop workshop was held from december 3-9, 2023.
