Meals-On-Wheels of White Plains

Meals-On-Wheels of White plains(mowwp)founded in 1979, and its volunteers have been delivering without interruption medically appropriate and nutritious dinner entrees, cold suppers, sides & beverages to our clients. All are residents of the city of White Plains who are unable due to age and/or medical conditions to shop or cook for themselves. This year 39,653 meals were served to 156 unduplicated clients. The average number of clients served per week was between 75-80. The number of routes are seven. Mowwp delivers meals for 5 t0 6 days per week on a twice-per-week basis (mondays and thursdays). On days other than monday and thursday, volunteers perform social and safety check telephone calls.
