Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania

Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania was founded in 1961 as a local affiliate of the National Medical Association to promote the healthcare of the Afro-American community and prioritize professional well-being. They give scholarships to a medical student from each of the five local schools who demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute to projects benefiting the community. The society also established a Speakers Bureau where each member volunteers two or more hours every two years to participate in community and local outreach programs. They are located in Philadelphia, PA.
