Description
Medina County Police Activities League mentors school age children ages 8-20 twice a week for a total of four hours. Through an after-school program, the organization brings youth and local law enforcement together in a fun and active environment at eight locations in Brunswick, Cloverleaf, Lodi, and other areas. The organization's onsite food pantry at the Medina County Sheriff's Office feeds 20 families per week with fresh and frozen food, nonperishable items, and personal care products, which are delivered by volunteers.

Program areas at Medina County Police Activities League

The organization operated an after school program that brings youth and local law enforcement together in a fun and active environment. Medina County Police Activities League currently has eight after school program locations in brunswick, cloverleaf, lodi and Medina, serving over 150 children. The officers and volunteers play basketball, dodge ball, kickball, interactive video games and board games with the children ranging in age from 8 to 15. The program also offers a tutoring component to help students complete homework assignments. The mcpal kids also atteneded various field trips this year including trips to a cavaliers basketball game, a bowling alley, and a monsters game. Our food pantry is located onsite at the Medina County sheriff's office. We feed 20 families a week providing them with fresh and frozen food, along with nonperishable food items and personal care products. Volunteers deliver the bags each week.
