Memphis Restaurant Association

The Memphis Restaurant Association (mra) is the premier support organizations dedicated to the success of our industry and community now and into the future. We provide useful, accessible tools, education, services and governmental representation to promoto the stability and growth of our members. The mra is dedicated to building community relationships and involvement in order to increase membership and create a spirit of fellowship among its members. Our board meetings were as follows: 7 in-person meetings (january, february, april, june, august, september and november). Our january general membership meeting with the shelby county health department was canceled due to the director dealing with an outbreak of covid delta variant in shelby county. It was rescheduled for april 2022. We had a general membership educational summit in september 2022 with 5 speakers over 4 hours for our members.

Our annual february celebration to recognize two members of our Association who have contributed both to the industry and to their community was back in 2022 after taking a year off in 2021. This event draws more than 400 people. Out annual october golf tournament draws about 100 people. Our communication with members stayed consistent regarding health department policies, best practices, resource for covid supplies and education, webinars, financial support, and more. We had 4 meetings for our vendor members.
