Program areas at Men and Women of Purpose
Provide re-entry services to help returning community members make the transition from jail to community.
Coronavirus emergency supplemental funding program. Provide individuals with housing, food, transportation, and necessary tools that focus on meeting re-entry related need. Expand existing programs or create new program activities that will address the needs of the participants. Forty participants were housed in this program. 30 out of the 40 participants have permanent jobs and the remaining 10 participants have returned to the family unit.
Provide mentoring services, program adminstration to help participants while incarcerated to develop a plan surrounding their interest and goals focusing on employment, recovery, housing needs, and life skills.
California community reinvestment grants program. Provide individuals with support in job placement, mental health treament, substance use disorder treatment, system navigation services, legal services to address barriers to reentry for those disproportionately impacted by past federal and state drug policies. 176 participants have participated in this program. 40 participants has been susbstance free for a year, 37 have permanent employment and 6 have permanent housing. 100 participants have graduated from the program. None of the participants have returned to custody.
