Program areas at Mentis
Adult programs: during the 2023 tax year Mentis provided early intervention programs outpatient services and residential services to adults. Seventy-five individuals received therapy or case management services through the healthy minds healthy aging program which is uniquely designed for older adults and their specific life concerns. 1,044 older adults were reached through our outreach efforts and were provided with information on resources and participated in connection building activities. Outpatient services provide access to mental health treatment regardless of ones ability to pay to develop the skills to cope with difficult life events or issues making life better for our community members and those around them. Mentis served over 250 clients through these outpatient services. The residential services provide affordable safe and supportive housing environments that allow clients to overcome barriers that can stand in the way of achieving greater stability.
Prevention programs: during the 2023 tax year Mentis prevention programs included supportive wellness cafes that taught wellness and coping tools via evidence-based curriculums to 1,302 youth and 35 adults; question persuade refer suicide prevention trainings to 138 youth and 629 adults teaching them to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and refer community members at risk to resources; outreach events that connected 1,340 youth and 348 adults to behavioral health resources; youth engagement and empowerment opportunities through our teens connect program that reached 348 teenagers and young adults for a total of 3,792 community members served through prevention programs.
Youth programs: during the 2023 tax year Mentis provided early intervention programs and outpatient services to youth. Over 450 individuals were served through school-based therapy programs at 20 sites.
