Multifamily Housing program: the program provides 1,481 families with quality,affordable homes in multi-family communities owned or developed by Merced in sanantonio, corpus christi, conroe, somerset, karnes city, goliad and fort worth. Themajority of residents in our communities earn 60% or below of the area median income(ami) which is classified as very low to extremely low income.
Resident services program: Merced provides supportive services focused on increasinghousing stability for residents at affordable multifamily and senior communities.the program focuses on health and wellness, financial security, adult education andyouth engagement. During the year ended june 30 2021, 2,505 unduplicated residentswere served by this program (older adults, families and youth), 10,366 supportiveservices referrals were made and outreach efforts touched 29,906 residents.
Owner occupied repair program: since its inception, the program has helped over 679older adults or disabled homeowners who live on low to extremely low incomes (80% ami or below) and cannot afford to maintain their homes in a safe, sanitary andstructurally sound condition. Merced makes health- and safety-related repairs tohomes in bexar county at no cost to homeowners. Repairs range in cost from $125 to$109,000 and include ada modifications, electrical, foundation, plumbing, roof,heating/ac and more. Merced also provides supportive social services to homeownerswith the goal of improving their Housing stability and well-being.
