Program areas at Meridian Food Bank
We provide Food baskets to our neighbors who seek emergency Food assistance. As Meridian has grown and our economy has faced challenges, the number of people seeking our help has risen dramatically. In 2022 we distributed 18,156 Food baskets serving 48,375 individuals with 1,084,655 pounds of Food.
The Meridian Food Bank provides children who are in the free and reduced lunch program ran by the Meridian school district with Food packs. Each Food pack contains six meals and two snacks for the weekend. Food packs are delivered by volunteers to predetermined schools on fridays. In 2022 20,109 Food packs were delivered to over 650 children on a weekly basis.
