Meriter Hospital, Inc. is a 448-bed community Hospital focused on delivering quality care and patient safety. Meriter provides solutions to many community health care needs, and provides the region's only available child and adolescent psychiatry services, and sexual assault nurse examiner services. Meriter is proud to deliver more babies than any other Hospital in Wisconsin and received numerous awards:- lions eye bank of Wisconsin: unitypoint health Meriter achieved a 29.6% conversion rate for 2022; very nearly meeting the goal of 30.0%. - unitypoint health Meriter security team has received the program of distinction award and certification from the international association for healthcare security and safety (iahss). Iahss recognizes outstanding qualifying healthcare security and safety departments with the program of distinction. Since 2007, Meriter is only 1 of 60 u.s. This occurs through all specialties for individuals and in group settings such as individual health education sessions with a nurse practitioner for women managing their heart disease, offering group sessions on the latest advancements for treatments of osteoarthritis, and educational programs for pregnant parents attending childbirth education programs. Meriter clinic's providers also offer various educational talks and screening opportunities as part of community programs/events each year. Meriter's adult primary care clinics include diabetes management services through a team consisting of endocrinologists, program service accomplishments: certified diabetes educators, dietitian and health psychologist. Health psychology services are available to patients who need emotional support and guidance as they work through personal health changes. Meriter child & adolescent psychiatry staff provide educational sessions for school personnel. Meriter primarily serves patients from dane county.
