Program areas at Methodist Services

Housing and community services:methodist Services provides housing, case management, and life skills training to residents and their children residing in monument village, vine and ogden street, fairway commons and inglis Methodist gardens. In addition, Methodist Services provides Services to homeless adult individuals, through its bridgehouse, quads and fresh start programs, by providing them safe and supportive transitional housing. Social Services are provided to help each person achieve self-sufficiency and independence through lifeskills training, budgeting and money management along with job readiness training. Parenting - Methodist's family support Services supports families through the community schools, family unification program, shelter plus care and parenting collaborative.
Community counseling Services (ccs): ccs provides outpatient mental health treatment to northampton county and the surrounding areas. We provide individual, family and group outpatient counseling and psychiatric Services. The mission of ccs is to ensure that clients have the necessary social, emotional, psychological, educational and spiritual support to achieve their greatest potential. Our therapeutic staff utilizes a holistic, strengths based approach which promotes independent functioning and selfreliance. The use of evidence based techniques empowers clients to identify personal strengths, access community resources and cope more effectively with daily challenges. All therapists hold advanced degrees in psychology, social work or counseling.
Education: early childhood education, school aged educations and family support Services head start and pre-k are early childhood programs for children ages 3-5 years old, designed to promote academic, social and physical development, while supporting families to fulfull their paental goals.
Heritage farm: Methodist Services practices sustainable farming methods. Sustainable agriculture is the practice of growing food in a way that enhances the environment, provides economic opportunities and promotes good health for both individuals and communities. Heritage farm avoids all chemical fertilizers and pesticides, utilizing only organic and natural methods for farming a diverse bounty of vegetables, fruits and flowers.
