Dementia Support Programming: Methow At Home is a leader in innovative, non-medical dementia support and education in the Methow Valley. We deliver a community-centered, creative, and adaptable program that supports the care partner and has the ability to meet the changing needs of people living with dementia as the disease progresses. We offer free classes for the community about dementia, facilitate support groups for care partners, host Creative Aging arts-based dementia adult programs, and provide trained volunteer Social respite care for families living with dementia in the household.
Falls Prevention Program: Methow at Home is a leader in community wide Fall Prevention Campaign for the Methow Valley, collaborating with multiple local agencies in a coordinated effort to offer falls risk and prevention education, reduce/prevent new falls, and seek a more thorough follow up for people once they have had an injurious fall. Methow at Home offers ongoing education, resources, classes, and events that support older adults in falls prevention strategies along with evidence-based approaches to improving strength and balance including: Finding Our Balance Senior Health Fair, SAIL classes, Tai Ji classes, and Matter of Balance.
Service Program: Methow At Home offers free or subsidized service for over 60 low-income, rural, older adult households.
