Program areas at Metro Area Tournament Committee
The Metro Area Tournament Committee hosted, provided security and support for boys and girls athletic tournaments in Fargo and West Fargo North Dakota. Seventeen tournaments were managed by the organization. The MATC hosted the following state and regional tournaments: NDHSAA State Boys Soccer, EDC Girls Swimming & Diving, East Region Volleyball, Dakota Bowl (football championships), NDHSAA State Girls Swimming & Diving, NDHSAA State Boys & Girls Wrestling, EDC Boys Swimming & Diving, East Region Boys and Girls Basketball, NDHSAA State Class A Boys and Girls Basketball, East Region Boys and Girls Track & Field, East Region Girls Tennis, EDC Softball, State Girls Soccer and State Class A Baseball and Softball. The committee also sponsored volleyball and wrestling events during their respective regular seasons.The Committee hired numerous individuals to host, coordinate, and provide security at the games. Food and beverages were provided for these individuals.
