Program areas at Metro Drug Coalition
The gateway recovery community center provided 24,047 individuals assistance with 75% of those being support group meetings. 550 treatments referrals for alcohol and other substance misuse issues. 171 people were trained in certified recovery coaching model and another 200 individuals were provided coaching services through Metro Drug Coalition staff. 160 individuals received a recovery housing scholarship.
To provide technical assistance to substance abuse prevention coalitions throughout the state of Tennessee.
Trained and distributed 6,766 naloxone kits and another 8,575 kloxxado kits. 10,000 fentanyl test strips were distributed, along iwth 2,400 condoms and an additional 200 pounds of syringes were safely disposed of. Media campaign on overdose prevention reached thousands of households. Over 1,000 individuals and organizations participated in international overdose awareness day event on 8-31-23.
All other programs further the mission of the organization.
