Program areas at Metropolitan Mayors Caucus
Public sector energy efficiency grant program - collaborated with the commonwealth edison company to provide technical and grant assistance to various units of local government in northeastern Illinois for energy efficiency upgrades of public facilities and equipment.
Powering safe communities - in the fourth year of this program, provided technical and financial assistance to 22 local governments to implement various public safety projects. Funds were awarded from the commonwealth edison company.
Housing - continued to work with partner organizations to provide technical planning assistance in developing implementation strategies for housing plans for nine municipalities throughout the chicago region. Continued to provide assistance to the chicago region's 275 municipalities through a regional housing solutions website.
