The End of Life Practitioner Program includes five residential training modulesthat combine to form one of the most comprehensive programs of its kind in the country. The course is designed to provide essential clinical competencies, strengthen individual capacity for compassionate service, and enhance spiritual development. Going beyond the medical model, we emphasize the psychosocial and spiritual dimensions of the dying experience. Graduates join a national network of dedicated peers encouraging creative solutions as educators, advocates, and guides to the dying. We estimate that our 150 graduates have directly served an estimated 35,000 clients each year, and another 50,000 through education, trainings, and other public programs.
Graduate Community- the expanding graduate community are served through on-goingsupport and training programs, one to one mentoring by faculty members, monthlyPOD call, quarterly teleconferences, annual 4-day retreats on both East and West coasts and a special online virtual community portal. Graduates also have access to an extensive library of course material, articles, and other resources. Soon we will be implementing a teacher training program for a select group of graduates.
Other Programs- To help train and educate family caregivers, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in improving the care of the dying.
