In 2023 MHLRM was able to rescue/intake and then place/adopt over 600 dogs to adoptive homes and save them from euthanasia in shelters that are overpopulated with animals and forced to euthanize due to space. All of these animals were brought up to date with vaccinations, provided with spay/neuter surgeries for sterilization, and treated for medical needs such as parvovirus, distemper virus, leg amputations when needed, parasites, upper respiratory infections, necessary behavioral training, eye treatments, infections to the skin, eyes, etc, and more.
